| Description | The body produces oxygen free radicals through the enzyme system and non-enzyme system, which can attack unsaturated fatty acid on biofilm, leading to lipid peroxidation and forming lipid peroxide, such as aldehyde group(MDA), keto group, hydroxyl group, carbonyl group etc. lipid peroxide can not only transform active oxygen to active chemical, but also enhance the effect of active oxygen. Detection of the content for MDA can reflect the level of lipid peroxidation in cells and reflect level of cellular damage indirectly. Sample Type: Animal culture cells. Intended Use: This kit can be used to measure the MDA content in animal culture cells and other samples. Test Principle: Malonyldialdehyde (MDA) in catabolite of Lipid peroxide (LPO) can condensate with thiobarbituric acid (TBA) and form red compound, which has the maximum absorbance peak at 532nm.
