| Description | Purity ~96% (SDS-PAGE, HPLC). Human macrophage/monocyte chemotactic protein-4 (MCP-4) is a member of the beta chemokine family (C-C) of cytokines. Like eotaxin, MCP-4 is a powerful eosinophil chemoattractant. Additionally, like MCP-3, MCP-4 elicits chemoattraction of monocytes and T lymphocytes. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human MCP-4, a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 75aa, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~8.6kD (75aa) Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Biological Activity: Determined by its ability to chemoattract human monocytes using a concentration range of 10-100ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 1x10e4IU/mg.
