| Description | Purity ~97% (SDS-PAGE, HPLC). Mouse microphage inflammatory protein-2 (MIP-2) promotes neutrophil chemotaxis and degranulation. The mouse MIP-2 is a protein containing 73aa residues including the `RLR' motif common to the CXC chemokine family that bind to CXCR1 or CXCR2. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to mouse MIP-2, a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 73aa, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~7.8kD (73aa) Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Biological Activity: Determined by its ability to chemoattract total human neutrophils using a concentration range of 1-10ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 1x10e5IU/mg.
