| Description | Purity ~95% (SDS-PAGE). EMG1 nucleolar protein homolog, also known as EMG1, is a 244aa protein that is thought to be involved in ribosome biogenesis. Localized to the nucleolus, EMG1 participates in pre-18S rRNA processing and may play an important role in the assembly of the small ribosomal subunit, possibly controlling methylation during ribosome synthesis. A mutation in this gene has been associated with Bowen-Conradi syndrome. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-244 of human EMG1, fused to His-tag at N-terminal expressed in E. coli.
