| Description | Adenosine deaminase is widely expressed in various tissues, with highest concentration in cecum, small intestine mucosa and spleen. And the content in liver is only 7% to 14% of the small intestine. In liver, 90% of ADA is located in the cytoplasm, and low in cell nucleus, it is the one of metabolic enzymes of nucleic acid with highest Levels. Activity of ADA in liver disease is increased. The enzyme activity is generally not increased in obstructive Jaundice, but in the liver parenchyma injury, activity of ADA and ALT both increase at the same time, it will be helpful to identify the disease.In chronic active hepatitis and liver cirrhosis, although positive rate of ALT is low, the rate of ADA can reach 90% and activity of it increases significantly experimental Sample Type: Animal serum, plasma, tissue.
