| Product Name | IL-12, Recombinant, Human |
| Description | Purity ~98% (SDS-PAGE, HPLC). IL-12 is a potent regulator of cell mediated immune responses and in induces IFN-gamma production by NK and T cells. It is produced by activated monocytes/macrophage cells, B-lymphocytes, and connective tissue type mast cells. Among its biological activities, IL-12 promotes the growth and activity of activated NK, CD4+, and CD8+ cells and induce the development of IFN-gamma producing Th1 cells. Recombinant human IL-12 is a heterodimeric glycoprotein consisting of disulfide-linked 35kD (p35) and 40kD (p40) subunits (503 total amino acid residues). Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to 503aa residues from human Interleukin 12, expressed in CHO cells. Molecular Weight: ~75kD Biological Activity: The ED50, as determined by the induction of IFN-g production from murine splenocytes co-stimulated with IL-12, is 1x10e7units/mg. Endotoxin: <0.1ng/ug |
