| Description | Sample Type: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates Intended Use: For the quantitative determination of mouse pentraxin-related protein PTX3 (PTX3) concentrations in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Sensitivity: 0.21ng/ml Range: 0.313-20ng/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of mouse PTX3. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between mouse PTX3 and analogues was observed. Test Principle: This BioAssay™ employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for PTX3 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any PTX3 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for PTX3 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells.
