| Description | Purity ≥98%. Hemin is an iron-containing porphyrin.[1] More specifically, it is protoporphyrin IX containing a ferric iron ion (heme B) with a chloride ligand. Used in the management of porphyria attacks, particularly in acute intermittent porphyria.
