| Product Name | Lactate Dehydrogenase B, Recombinant (LDHB, LDH-B, L-Lactate dehydrogenase B chain) |
| Description | Purity ≥ 95% by RP-HPLC and SDS-PAGE. Chromatographically purified. Endotoxin: ≤ 0.1ng/ug (IEU/ug). A tetrameric enzyme that, along with the coenzyme NAD+, catalyzes the interconversion of lactate and pyruvate. In vertebrates, genes for three different subunits (LDH-A, LDH-B and LDH-C) exist. Recombinant LDH-B was produced using LDH-B DNA cloned from cDNA library of chicken heart. Biological Activity: ~250 U/mg protein Unit Definition: One unit is defined as 1 micromole of NAD+ produced per minute under the assay conditions (25°C, pH 7.5). Both transaminase activities include alpha-hydroxyglutarate dehydrogenase activity. |
