| Product Name | Beta-Lactamase Regulatory Protein C-Terminal Fragment, Recombinant, Human, Western Blot Control |
| Description | Purified (SDS-PAGE). Isolated from Bacillus licheniformis, BLA-R1 is a membrane protein with five transmembrane domains. The extra-cellular C-terminal domain has a high affinity for antibiotics containing a beta-lactam ring. The protein acts by binding the antibiotics on the cell surface and transducing the information to the cytoplasm. BlaR1 consists of homologous N-terminal 330-residue transmembrane metallopeptidase domains linked to extracellular 260-residue homologous PBP-like penicillin sensor moieties. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa345-601 from the C-terminal region of human Bla-R1, fused to N-terminal 6x His-tag, expressed in E. coli. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot as a control. |
