| Product Name | TIMP4, Recombinant, Human, aa30-224, His-Tag (Metalloproteinase inhibitor 4) |
| Description | Purity ~90% (SDS-PAGE). TIMP4, as known as metalloproteinase inhibitor 4, is a family of secreted protein that regulates the activation and proteolytic activity of the zinc enzymes known as matrix metalloproteinases. There are four known members of the family, TIMP1, 2, 3 and 4. TIMP4 is produced by a wide range of tissues, particularly brain, heart, ovary and skeletal muscle. Limited studies have shown that this protein has a tumor suppressive effect against Wilm s tumor, exhibits negative correlation with glioma malignancy and is found in breast carcinoma cells. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa30-224 from human TIMP4, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in insect cell. Molecular Weight: ~23.5kD (204aa) 18-28kD (SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions) Endotoxin: ~1EU/1ug (LAL) |
