Recombinant human active PKCg (2-697) is produced in Sf9 cells with an N-terminal polyhistidine tag. Recombinant human active PKCg also phosphorylates full length myelin basic protein, histone, MARKS, and GSK-3b. Activity requires incubation with lipid activators, and may vary depending on the substrate and reaction conditions Molecular Weight: ~80kD Biological Activity:~6000-8000 units/mg Unit Definition: One unit of PKCg activity transfers 1 nmole of phosphate to a PKC substrate peptide (myelin basic protein 4-14) per minute at 30°C. |
