Tetrahydrouridine (THU) is a potent inhibitor of cytidine. It inhibits cell proliferation through cell cycle regulation regardless of cytidine deaminase expression levels deaminase (CDA), and thus can be used as a potential and promising treatment for tumors with highly expressed CDA.
