Recombinant IL-1RA comprises a 152 amino acid fragment (26-177) corresponding to the mature soluble IL-1RA protein and is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag. L-1Ra is the natural antagonist of the pro-inflammatory cytokines Interleukin-1α and Interleukin-1β. IL-1Ra is produced by a variety of cells including monocytes, macrophages, neutrophils and fibroblasts in response to the binding of various pro-inflammatory cytokines. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. |
