| Description | Purity ≥70%. SGPL1 (Sphingosine-1-phosphate lyase 1) cleaves phosphorylated sphingoid bases (PSBs), such as sphingosine-1-phosphate, into fatty aldehydes and phosphoethanolamine. SGPL1 elevates stress-induced ceramide production and apoptosis. SGPL1 is a Type III membrane protein and is localized in the endoplasmic reticulum. Highest levels are found in liver, followed by kidney, lung, heart and brain. It belongs to the group II decarboxylase family and the sphingosine-1-phosphate lyase subfamily. Source: Recombinant human SGPL1, aa59-end, with C-terminal His tag, expressed in Baculovirus infected Sf9 cell expression system.
