| Description | Etanercept (Enbrel®) is a protein drug used to treat autoimmune diseases by adsorbing tumor necrosis factor (TNF; a soluble inflammatory cytokine). Etanercept is a fusion protein of the extracellular ligand binding portion of TNFRSF1B and the Fc component of human immunoglobulin G1 (IgG1). It reduces the effect of naturally present TNF, functioning as a decoy receptor that binds to TNF. Sample Type: Serum and plasma Intended Use: The Etanercept BioAssay™ ELISA kit is designed to measure free Etanercept with high specificity and sensitivity in biological matrices. Sensitivity: 1.5ng/ml Recovery: 250ng/mL of Etanercept was spiked in 10 lots of human serum. Recovery ranges are from 91-112% with an average recovery of 110%. Precision: Intra-assay CV: <10% Inter-assay CV: <10%. Specificity: sTNFa, TNFb, sTNFRI, sTNFRII prepared at 250ng/mL were assayed and exhibited no crossreactivity or interference.
