| Description | Purified (SDS-PAGE). Tissue factor is best known as the primary cellular initiator of blood coagulation. After vessel injury, the Tissue Factor : Factor VIIa complex activates the coagulation protease cascade, which leads to fibrin deposition and activation of platelets. In addition, aberrant Tissue Factor expression within the vasculature initiates lifethreatening thrombosis in various diseases, such as sepsis, atherosclerosis, and cancer. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa33-251 from the extracellular domain of human Tissue Factor, fused to 6x His-tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot as a control. |
