| Product Name | Ung, Recombinant, E.coli, aa1-229, His-Tag (Uracil-DNA-Glycosylase) |
| Description | Purity ~90% (SDS-PAGE). Ung, also known as uracil-DNA glycosylase, is to prevent mutagenesis by eliminating uracil from DNA molecules by cleaving the N-glycosylic bond and initiating the base-excision repair (BER) pathway. Uracil bases occur from cytosine deamination or misincorporation of duMP residues. After a mutation occurs, the mutagenic threat of uracil propagates through any subsequent DNA replication steps. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-229 from E.coli Ung, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~28.1kD (252aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. |
