| Product Name | HPRT, Recombinant, Human, aa1-218, His-tag |
| Description | Purity ~95% (SDS-PAGE). Hypoxanthine-guanine phosphoribosyltransferase, also known as HPRT1 has a central role in the generation of purine nucleotides through the purine salvage pathway. The enzyme primarily functions to salvage purines from degraded DNA to renewed purine synthesis. In this role, it acts as a catalyst in the reaction between guanine and phosphoribosyl pyrophosphate to form GMP. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-218 from human HPRT1, fused to His-Tag at N- terminal, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~26.7kD (238aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF Endotoxin: 15units/mg and is defined as the amount of enzyme that catalyze the formation of 1umole of guanosine 5'-monophosphate (GMP)/minute from guanine and phosphoribosyl pyrophosphate at pH 7.5 at 37°C.
