| Description | Intended Use: For the quantitative determination of human osteopontin (OPN) concentrations in serum, plasma, urine and tissue homogenates. Sample Type: Serum, plasma, urine and tissue homogenates Sensitivity: 0.195ng/ml Range: 0.78-50ng/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human OPN. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human OPN and analogues was observed. Test Principle: Human OPN BioAssay™ Kit employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for OPN has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any OPN present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for OPN is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells.
