| Description | FLVCR2 Antibody LS-C188079. Recognizes Feline leukemia virus subgroup C receptor-related protein 2, also known as FLVCR2, Pituitary Growth/Lactation Coupled (PG/LC) Transporter or Calcium-chelate transporter. FLVCR2 is expressed in cells of the pituitary gland that secrete growth hormone and/or prolactin, and also in other cells and tissues involved in calcium homeostasis. The structure of FLVCR2 contains novel hexad repeats that may be important for protein - protein interaction. There is increasing evidence that FLVCR2 is expressed by pericytes in the brain and may be vital for endothelial function of capillaries (Brasier et al. 2004). |
