| Description | Purity ≥ 98% as determined by RP-HPLC, anion-exchange FPLC and/or reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stained gel. Thymopentin, also known as TP-5 is a synthetic derivative of thymopoietin, a thymic hormone, and has immunoregulatory properties. Thymopentin has a molecular formula of C30H49N9O9 H-Arg-Lys-Asp-Val-Tyr-OH having a Mw of 679.8. Dimers and Aggregates: Less than 1% as determined by silver-stained SDS-PAGE gel analysis. Endotoxin: ≤ 0.1ng/ug (IEU/ug) of TP-5. Protein Content: Protein quantitation was carried out by two independent methods: 1. UV spectroscopy at 280 nm. 2. Analysis by RP-HPLC, using a calibrated solution of Thymopentin as a Reference Standard. Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Thymopentin in sterile 18Mω-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions. Stability: Lyophilized Thymopentin although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -180 |
