Expressed predominantly in adipose tissue. Females express higher levels than males. Overexpression of CTRP9 in obese (ob/ob) mice significantly lowered serum glucose levels. Sequence: The globular domain of mouse CTRP9 (aa 195-333) is fused at the N-terminus to a His-tag. |
