| Description | Sample Type: Serum and plasma Intended Use: For the quantitative determination of human carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125) concentrations in serum and plasma. Sensitivity: 3.8U/ml Range: 15-300U/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human CA125. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human CA125 and analogues was observed. Test Principle: This BioAssay™ employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for CA125 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells with a Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated antibody specific for CA125. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of CA125 bound in the initial step.
