| Product Name | Vasopressin, Competitive BioAssay™ ELISA Kit (Porcine) |
| Description | Vasopressin, also known as arginine vasopressin (AVP), antidiuretic hormone (ADH), is aneurohypophysial hormone found in most mammals. It is derived from a preprohormone precursor that is synthesized in the hypothalamus and stored in vesicles at the posterior pituitary. Most of it is stored in the posterior pituitary to be released into the bloodstream. However, some AVP may also be released directly into the brain, and plays an important role in social behavior, sexual motivation and pair bonding, and maternal responses to stress. Sample Type: Serum and plasma Intended Use: The kit is a competitive enzyme immunoassay for the in vitro quantitative measurement of Vasopressin in porcine serum, plasma; and other biological fluids not being tested. Sensitivity: 7pg/ml Range: 2.4-10,000pg/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of porcine Vasopressin. Precision: Intra CV<10%; Inter CV <15% Test Principle: The immunoplate in this kit is pre-coa |
