| Description | Purity ≥ 95%, as determined by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.Endotoxin: ≤ 1EU/1ug. ARSG is a member of the aryl sulfatase family of enzymes with a high degree of amino acid sequence similarity to ARSA and ARSB. ARSG mRNA is expressed in a ubiquitous manner, being detected in most adult and embryonic tissues of the mouse (1). Recombinant mouse Arylsulfatase G encoded by the Arsg gene (rmARSG; amino acid residues 17-525; Accession # NP_082986) (1) was expressed with an N-terminal signal sequence and a C-terminal 10X His tag in a Chinese Hamster Ovary cell line. Calculated molecular mass of 55kD and migrates as a 6 kD band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. Activity: Measured by its ability to hydrolyze the substrate 4-nitrocatechol sulfate (PNCS). |
