| Description | Purified (SDS-PAGE). LP-PLA2 is an enzyme produced by inflammatory cells and hydrolyzes oxidised phospholipids in low-density lipoprotein (LDL). In the blood, it travels mainly with LDL and less than 20% is associated with high-density lipoprotein. LP-PLA2 is involved in the development of atherosclerosis and is a marker for cardiac disease. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa22-441 from mature human LP-PLA2, fused to 6x His-tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot as a control. |
