| Product Name | Heregulin beta, EGF Domain (HRGb) |
| Description | Purity >90% Purified by gel filtration chromatography (SDS-PAGE and Coomassie blue staining). . Heregulin is a glycoprotein, containing immunoglobulin-like and EGF-like domains, that is produced as a transmembrane proform and is expressed by a variety of cell types including neurons, astrocytes, fibroblasts and keratinocytes. At least 12 different heregulin isoforms, resulting from alternative splicing from a single gene, have been identified. The isoforms differ in the N-terminal, EGF-like, juxtamembrane domains and in the cytoplasmic tail. Thrombin cleaved GST fusion protein corresponding to the EGF domain of Heregulin-β3 (aa178-241). Biological Activity: Assessed by increased tyrosine phosphorylation of the c-erb B3/HER-3 receptor in Heregulin-beta treated MCF-7 cells. Receptor Activation Analysis: 5-25ng/ml of Heregulin activated the erbB-3/HER-3 receptor in MCF-7 cells. Heregulin stimulates tyrosine phosphorylation of the erbB-3/HER-3 receptor that was detected by monoclonal |
