| Description | Sample Type: Serum, plasma Intended Use: For the quantitative/qualitative determination of bovine tetanus antibody concentrations in serum, plasma. Sensitivity: 10mIU/ml Range: 10-100mIU/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of bovine tetanus antibody. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between bovine tetanus antibody and analogues was observed. Test Principle: This BioAssay™ employs the quantitative/qualitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with tetanus antibody. Samples are pipetted into the wells with tetanus antibody conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP). Any antibodies specific for tetanus antibody present will bind to the pre-coated tetanus antibody. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of bovine tetanus antibody bound in the initial step.
