| Description | Purified as laminin-nidogen complex from EHS sarcoma according to the method of Timpl, et al. (1,2). ≥ 90% by SDS-PAGE. Laminin is a major component of basement membranes and stimulates neurite outgrowth, promotes cell attachment, chemotaxis and cell differentation. Promotes the adhesion and growth of human carcinoma and sarcoma cells, human retinoblastoma cells, liver cells, mouse neuroblastoma cells, mouse embryonal carcinoma cells, and seems to be involved in the development of embryonal tissue. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, production of antiserum, cell adhesion assays, and neurite-stimulation assays. Active in cell attachment. |
