| Product Name | Staphylococcus aureus Glutamyl endopeptidase |
| Description | MW: Monomer, 28.9 kDa (with 267 amino acids). Reducing and Non-Reducing SDS PAGE, ≥95%. Glutamyl endopeptidase (Glu-C) is an enzyme from Staphylococcus aureus strain V8 that hydrolizes peptide bonds formed on the carboxyl terminal side of aspartate and glutamate amino acid residues. Glu-C is pathogenic to human tissue and functions during adherence and colonization of host cells. Glu-C protects against host defense mechanisms by fragmenting human immunoglobulins IgG, IgM, and IgA. |
