Recombinant chicken growth hormone (cGH) produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 191 amino acids with an additional Ala at its N-terminus and having a molecular mass of 22255 Dalton. cGH is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Amino acid sequence: The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be Ala-Thr-Phe-Pro-Ala. Dimers and aggregates: The purified cGH (22K) consists of > 99% monomers as determined by gel-filtration chromatography. Biological Activity: chGH is fully biologically active in homologous assays and in PDF-P1 3B9 cells stably transfected with rabbit GH receptors. Endotoxin: Less than 0.1ng/ug (IEU/ug) of cGH (22 K).
