| Description | This protein is an inflammatory chemokine that belongs to the CXC chemokine family. This chemokine is produced concomitantly with interleukin-8 (IL8) in response to stimulation with either interleukin-1 (IL1) or tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNFA). This chemokine is a potent chemotaxin involved in neutrophil activation. Sample Type: Serum, plasma and tissue homogenates Intended Use: For the quantitative determination of human epithelial neutrophil activating peptide 78 (ENA-78/CXCL5) concentrations in serum, plasma and tissue homogenates. Sensitivity: 0.567ng/ml Range: 0.625-40ng/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human ENA-78/CXCL5. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human ENA-78/CXCL5 and analogues was observed. Test Principle: This BioAssay™ employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique.
