| Description | Axol NSCs are derived from integration-free, induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells under fully defined neural induction conditions. The NSCs express typical markers of cerebral cortical neural stem and stem cells e.g. Pax6 and Foxg1, and spontaneously form polarized neural tube-like rosette structures when plated as a monolayer in culture (see below). Additionally, Axol NSCs are capable of generating a spectrum of cortical neurons that are electrically active and have the ability to form functional synapses and circuits in vitro. Applications: • Studying Corticogenesis in vitro • Studying neural network formation and signal transmission • Disease modelling • Neurotoxicity testing • Preclinical drug efficacy testing • Research and development of cell therapies in animal models Specifications: • Each ax0018 is supplied with 1 vial containing >1.5M million neural stem cells and 1 x30ml bottle of Plating-XF Medium (ax0033) • Presentation: Cells are provided cryopreserved in 1ml of freezing |
